  <h4>Creating The Crazy Transitioning Machine</h4>
  <ol>

      Begin a blank project.<br/>

      Your first slide should be a &quot;Title Slide&quot;<br/>

      The title of the first slide should read &quot;The Crazy Transitioning Machine&quot;.
      The subtitle should have <span class="emphasize">your name</span> in it.<br/>

    <li>
      From the main menu, go to <span class="keyword">Format-&gt;Background</span><br/>

    <li>
      Click on the drop-down box located in the <span class="keyword">Background</span>
      dialog box.  Go to <span class="keyword">Fill Effects</span><br/>.

      In the <span class="keyword">Fill&nbsp;Effects</span> dialog box, click on the
      <span class="keyword">Gradient</span> tab.  Next, choose
      <span class="keyword">Two&nbsp;Colors</span> and choose any of the
      <span class="keyword">Shading&nbsp;Styles</span>.  Then click
      <span class="keyword">OK</span>.<br/>

      Back in the <span class="keyword">Background</span> dialog, click on
      <span class="keyword">Apply To All</span>.  This will make all slides have the background
      that you have chosen.<br/>

      Now click on <span class="keyword">Insert-&gt;New&nbsp;Slide</span><br/>

      Choose a <span class="keyword">Bulleted&nbsp;List</span> slide.  Type
      &quot;The Crazy Transitioning Machine&quot; as the title, and
      type &quot;You can transition using Dissolve!&quot; as the first bullet.<br/>

      From the main menu, choose
      <span class="keyword">Slide&nbsp;Show-&gt;Slide&nbsp;Transition</span><br/>

      In the <span class="keyword">Slide&nbsp;Transition</span> dialog box, click on the
      drop-down menu in the <span class="keyword">Effect</span> section and choose
      <span class="keyword">Dissolve</span>.  Then click on <span class="keyword">Apply</span>.
      Clicking on <span class="keyword">Apply</span> instead of
      <span class="keyword">Apply&nbsp;All</span> will affect only the slide that you are
      currently changing (other slides will not use this effect).<br/>

      In the main menu, click on
      <span class="keyword">Insert-&gt;Duplicate&nbsp;Slide</span><br/>.

      Add &quot;You can also use Box Out&quot; to the bulleted list.  Using similar steps to those
      used to create the <span class="keyword">Dissolve</span> transition, create the
      <span class="keyword">Box&nbsp;Out</span> transition.<br/>

      Create a new slide as your ending slide.  Select another transition of your choice and
      view the slide show.  Play around with transitions some more until you feel comfortable with
      them.<br/>

      <span class="keyword">Save</span> the file as
      <span class="emphasize">mynametransitions.ppt</span>, where
      <span class="emphasize">myname</span> is replaced with
      <span class="emphasize">YOUR ACTUAL NAME</span>.  Make sure that THE FILE IS ONE WORD.
