Welcome To PowerPoint Transitions
Creating The Crazy Transitioning Machine
-
Begin a blank project.

-
Your first slide should be a "Title Slide"

-
The title of the first slide should read "The Crazy Transitioning Machine".
The subtitle should have your name in it.

-
From the main menu, go to Format->Background

-
Click on the drop-down box located in the Background
dialog box. Go to Fill Effects
.

-
In the Fill Effects dialog box, click on the
Gradient tab. Next, choose
Two Colors and choose any of the
Shading Styles. Then click
OK.

-
Back in the Background dialog, click on
Apply To All. This will make all slides have the background
that you have chosen.

-
Now click on Insert->New Slide

-
Choose a Bulleted List slide. Type
"The Crazy Transitioning Machine" as the title, and
type "You can transition using Dissolve!" as the first bullet.

-
From the main menu, choose
Slide Show->Slide Transition

-
In the Slide Transition dialog box, click on the
drop-down menu in the Effect section and choose
Dissolve. Then click on Apply.
Clicking on Apply instead of
Apply All will affect only the slide that you are
currently changing (other slides will not use this effect).

-
In the main menu, click on
Insert->Duplicate Slide
.

-
Add "You can also use Box Out" to the bulleted list. Using similar steps to those
used to create the Dissolve transition, create the
Box Out transition.

-
Create a new slide as your ending slide. Select another transition of your choice and
view the slide show. Play around with transitions some more until you feel comfortable with
them.

-
Save the file as
mynametransitions.ppt, where
myname is replaced with
YOUR ACTUAL NAME. Make sure that THE FILE IS ONE WORD.
