Welcome to Geometry. This is a college preparatory course that fulfills 1 year of the high school mathematics graduation requirement as well as the UC a-g requirements. Topics include sets, real numbers, lines, planes, angles, triangles, congruence, proofs, geometric inequalities, perpendicular lines and planes in space, parallel lines and planes, polygonal regions and their areas, similarity, plane coordinate geometry, circles, spheres, sectors, trigonometry, symmetry, transformations, vectors, and solids. Emphasis will be on developing basic analytical and theoretical skills, and curriculum will be related to SAT preparation.
